Youth Formation

St. Peter's Catholic Church's weekly sessions for the entire family encourages and equips parents to participate in their child’s foundation of faith with other families. The study of the Christian Prayer for the 2024-2025 school year will allow all families to grow in faith together through activities, witnessing the faith. Family formation is the religious education program for children in grades 1-6. For children seeking First Holy Communion, families should participate in Family Faith Formation for two years. See below for Confirmation details.

Espanol Formacion de la familia 2024-2025           Family Faith Formation 2024-2025

First Holy Communion in the Diocese of Charleston is a two year program that begins as early as grade 1, with the receiving of First Holy Communion at the end of grade 2. Youth are preapared through our Family Faith Formation program that meets Sunday mornings.

The aim of the high school youth ministry program is to support high school youth in growing a personal relationship with Christ. This is accomplished by providing an environment through which teens will explore Scripture and church teaching, engaging with peers and adult mentors. 

• High School Youth Ministry meets every Sunday beginning in September, 6:00-8:00pm, starting each session with dinner.

This is the process of welcoming into the church children ages 8 and older who have not been baptized or were baptized into another denomination or were baptized and not further prepared for Holy Communion and / or Confirmation.  Contact Nancy Compton [email protected].
