Last weekend, January 4 & 5, we introduced our pastoral plan for 2025-2027 in presentations after each of the Masses. Almost 500 people attended, and the live reaction seemed pretty positive! We asked everyone to fill out cards with their questions and feedback.
[Update 1/11/25: The feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive. The primary concern, expressed by about 20% of the respondents, was a desire to keep our current crucifix rather than painting one in the proposed mural. So, responding to this feedback, we will pursue a mural that incorporates our current crucifix, since it has a lot of sentimental value for many parishioners.

Pastoral Plan Overview
Here is a short description of the five areas of focus for 2025-2027:
Inviting Parish
Create a parish culture where we offer many different outsider-friendly events, some more social and others more spiritual, and parishioners are inviting friends and neighbors to those events.
Marriage & Family
Begin offering ministries to help married couples and strengthen families, both those inside the parish and outside of the parish.
Hispanic Ministry
Expand our outreach and evangelization of our Hispanic brothers and sisters nearby, led by three religious sisters from Mexico. The second joined us this summer and the third will arrive soon.
Church Beautification
Bring additional beauty to our beautiful church, such as beautiful flooring, color, additional art, and the remaining bells in the tower. We shared an initial drawing of what it could look like.
School Expansion
Begin growing the school from the bottom by adding an additional grade each year, starting with a second kindergarten next year. We will install modular classrooms this summer to give us this space to grow, with the hope of permanent expansion in years to come.
