Are you or someone you know interested in learning about the Catholic faith? Come join us on Wednesday nights! Starting Now!
We are all longing for something more. It is a longing for God, and to be closer to him. The good news is that God exists, and he invites you on a journey of faith!
All are welcome to participate in our Introduction to the Catholic Faith, also known as "RCIA." This is an opportunity for those who are not Catholic to learn about the Catholic faith, in a warm and welcoming environment, without any commitment or expectations. It is also a great opportunity for Catholics who would like a refresher on their faith, or who would like to be prepared for sacraments.
Q: When are the sessions? The sessions are on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30, starting now! One can start attending at any time during the year.
Q: Where is it held? The sessions are held in our social hall, which is the building right in front of our church on Lady's Island. Our address is 70 Lady's Island Drive, Beaufort, SC 29907.
Q: What is the format? Each evening starts with dinner, then a presentation on the night's topic by our pastor, then concludes with some time in prayer. This is so that you can experience Christian fellowship over dinner, grow in knowledge with the presentation, and grow in your relationship with Christ with prayer.
Q: What are the topics? In the opening months, we explore the reasons for belief in God, the Bible, and the divinity of Jesus. After setting that foundation, we introduce the Catholic Church and begin to explore key beliefs of the Catholic faith.
Q: Is there childcare? Yes, we offer free childcare during the sessions. All volunteers are trained in our safe-environment policies and background-checked.
Q: Is there a cost? No, all is free of charge. We want to share Jesus and his good news!
Q: I don't think I want to become Catholic, I just want to learn more. Can I come? Definitely! There is no commitment or expectation that participants become Catholic. We would only want someone to become Catholic if they really believe in Jesus and that the Catholic faith is true.
Q: Do I have to register to come? You are certainly free to show up without registering, but you can register using the button below if you would like. For more information, please contact our coordinator Leslie Tibbitt at (843) 522-9555 or [email protected].
