We have the joy of returning to public celebration of Mass this week, starting Monday! Praise God!
In the letter we sent yesterday, I explained the steps we will be taking to increase safety. If you missed it, you can read the letter here. But here are some important highlights:
Thank you for being patient and cooperative as we seek to worship together again in the safest manner possible!

We wish all of the mothers in our parish family a happy and holy Mother's Day! May each of you be blessed through the intercession of our Blessed Mother, Mary!
Our parish was blessed with the beautiful service of Sister Maricella, who worked here for five years to build up the faith and community life of our Spanish-speaking parishioners. She returned to her congregation last summer, but we are blessed to welcome another sister from her community, Sister Monica. We are excited to have her continue the great work begun by Sister Maricella. Welcome, Sister Monica!
Further below you will find a photo and greeting from Sister Monica.

We continue to pray for our sick, as well as our doctors and medical professionals. See our prayer lists and our Mass intentions here.
5/3/20
Offertory - $22,613
Budgeted - $32,800
Difference - ($10,187)
When all of this first started, we all thought it would only be a couple of weeks before we were back to normal. But now it has been almost two months. Many of you have mailed in or dropped off offertory gifts to "catch up" on what you normally would have given during this time. Thank you! If we each do what we can, it will make a huge difference!
Three Ways to Give:
Hello, greetings to all with joy.
My name is Mónica Esmeralda Gómez Castellanos. I am from Chiapas, México and am the second oldest of five sisters.
I belong to the religious community of the Disciples of Jesús, the Good Shepherd. During my 19 years of consecration and formation, I studied Journalism as a major.
I am so happy to be here in this country with all of you. It is like a dream because I was waiting for this mission since the last year, but the process at that time was not possible. Now that I am here at St. Peter's parish, the time is going very fast.
I know that my assignment will be a challenge and a blessing for me. The #ASEchallenge of our charism of our religious community calls us to:
• Amar (Love)
• Servir (Serve)
• Evangelizar (Evangelize)
I think this is a great challenge even for all of you. I hope to be a good sister, like Jesus, our Good Pastor.
Please, let me know the best way I can collaborate with you so we can commit ourselves to allow God to lead us to holiness of life.
Thank you so much for receiving me and giving me the opportunity to learn and be part of this parish family. I pray that our good God will bless you and your families and the ministries that you are involved in. Please pray for me because I need to learn many things about this country. Pray that the Lord will equip me well for the mission to serve the people and manage my daily circumstances.
Please do not forget that without God it is not possible to be strengthened. Never separate your hearts from God because He is the way, the truth and the life. He wants a loving and lasting relationship with each of you.
May Jesus, the Good Shepherd, guide your steps by the way of peace and serenity. God bless you!
