When we sent out an email a few days ago about the Masses last weekend, many of you responded back sharing what it was like to finally be back at church. You can read some of the responses here.
Almost everyone respected the bishop's request that we wear masks, and I know that this helped put many of you at ease. Thank you for that, I know they aren't comfortable! The staff and I are very grateful for your cooperation and encouragement.
We had about 60-70 people at each Mass last weekend, for a total of 395 people spread over the six times. If you are comfortable coming at this time, and it is safe for you to do so, we would love to see you! Please see below for the special Mass times.
We also have a few dozen masks that were donated by a kind parishioner, if you have been unable to procure one yourself. They are available in the narthex as you enter the church. Please keep it and bring it back for the following weekends.
God bless you!
Father Andrew
Normal confessions will resume at the beginning of June. Since everyone has been unable to attend normal Confession during this time, Bishop Guglielmone is allowing general absolution during May, so those who would like to receive Holy Communion can do so in a state of grace.
On Saturday, May 30, general absolution will be offered:
English: 10am, Noon, 2pm
Spanish: 7pm
To receive general absolution, one must be in physical attendance (not over the internet) and if you are aware of mortal sins, intend to go to individual Confession as soon as it becomes available and confess those sins.
We continue to pray for our sick, as well as our doctors and medical professionals. See our prayer lists and our Mass intentions here. Please let us know additional people to add for prayer.
This week's Bible study is on the Ascension. You can read it here: "He is Risen!"
We are beginning a new series of faith messages about the early Church, shared in the local papers and online. Click to see our latest message, "Filled with the Spirit."
