We need great Catholic books to help us grow in our love for Jesus and our Catholic faith. We are buying great titles in bulk and making them available at the entrance of Saint Peter's.
Here are our first titles, with Amazon links so that you can read reviews if you would like. We are offering most for a third of their normal cost:
A Father Who Keeps His Promises (Scott Hahn, $3) - A great overview of Salvation History, the "big picture" of the Bible, that is engaging and easy to follow.
The Lamb's Supper (Scott Hahn, $5) - Shows from Scripture how the Mass is participation in Heaven on Earth. Never experience the Mass the same way again!
The Shadow of His Wings (Fr. Gereon Goldmann, $5 abridged) - An action-packed, true story of a German seminarian drafted into the SS during WWII. It should be made into a Spielberg movie. Once you start you can't put it down!
Something Other Than God (Jennifer Fulwiler, $5) - The faith journey of a young mother who, despite her athiest upbringing, slowly comes to be convinced of the truth of Jesus and the Catholic faith. Very engaging and inspiring!
The Case for Jesus (Brant Pitre, $5) - A great introduction to the biblical and historical evidence for Christ, and why we can trust the Gospels.
Made This Way (Trent Horn & Leila Miller, $5) - Helps parents give advice to their children about today's tough issues, such as purity, same-sex marriage, and gender ideology. It is helpful for adults of all ages, since we all need to be equipped to speak confidently on these subjects.
